I'm Dana!
A wife and mother of two. A creative writer, coffee connoisseur, an aspiring entrepreneur, and a sometimes crafter.
Born and raised in the Niagara Region, I have a diverse professional background in most aspects of Office Administration and Finance. In addition to organizing events and fundraisers, I enjoy taking an active role in my child’s education by being part of Parent Council. Previously, I volunteered as a Therapy Dog Coordinator and coached soccer.
Formally, I am a Pastoral Chaplain. Participating in spiritual retreats, yoga, meditation and self-reflection led me down the path to becoming an Officiant. This journey has allowed me to combine my skills and passions in a meaningful and fulfilling way.
A momentous occasion such as a wedding, a new or end of life celebration, deserves an Officiant who will go above and beyond to ensure the ceremony is reflective of you or your loved one; so let's chat to see if I'm the right fit.
TYPES OF WEDDING CEREMONIES
TRADITIONAL
A traditional wedding focuses on both couple’s culture and traditions. The guest list for this type of wedding usually exceeds 150 people.
ELOPEMENT
An elopement is a beautiful non-traditional, intimate and intentional way of getting married. Some couples will ask their family members to join them while others choose to have a private union.
MICROWEDDING
A microwedding is a mix between an elopement and a traditional wedding. The couple celebrates with a formal ceremony and intimate reception but with fewer guests, typically up to 50.

HOW TO GET A MARRIAGE LICENCE
You may be able to purchase a marriage licence from your local or surrounding municipality.
Please check the Municipality’s website to see if they provide this service.
To get a marriage licence, you will need to:
- complete a marriage licence application
- provide 2 pieces of government-issued identification for each person getting married.
- One piece of identification for each person getting married must include their photo.
Examples of government-issued identification include:
- government-issued birth certificate, including any change of name certificates
- valid passport
- record of immigrant landing
- Canadian Citizenship Card
- valid driver’s licence
- valid Ontario Photo Card
Provide supporting documentation (for example: proof of divorce) (if applicable)
Have at least one of you attend in-person to pick up the licence
Pay a fee (fees vary and depend on the municipality)
